PHARMACY DIRECTOR



Eugene Sawyer
Pharmacy Director

Eugene attended Langley Elementary and graduated from Langley-Bath-Clearwater High School.  He attended Augusta College and later graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with at B.S. Degree in pharmacy.  As a student he worked at Langley Drug in Langley, SC.  Then worked for a year at the Davis Pharmacy in Aiken before working at Bath Pharmacy for many years.  After he sold Bath Pharmacy, he worked briefly at Revco before setting up an in-house pharmacy at the Margaret J. Weston Medical Center in January of 1995. 
 

He was a charter member of the Aiken Area Council on Aging, and also served on the board of the Aiken County United Fund.  He was a charter member of the L.B.C. Jaycees where he served as vice president and treasurer.  He was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award in 1967.  In 1961 he was appointed to the Aiken County Commission on Higher Education of USC-Aiken where he now serves as treasurer.  He is a former member of the Augusta Rescue Mission.  He is presently a member of the Optimist Club and served as president several years ago. 

 

In 1962 he married Anne Blount of Augusta, Georgia.  They have two children now married and nine grandchildren.  Eugene is a charter member of the North Augusta Bible Chapel and has served many years as an elder.
